Autocaddy
The Problem
When playing golf in wet conditions, players find it very difficult to keep the club grips dry. This can be caused by reasons such as towels becoming saturated or the hassle of carrying an umbrella; but ultimately when grips are wet, golfers’ subconscious abilities can make them tighten their grip which can harm their game.
The Solution
The Autocaddy system consists of two parts which fit inside a custom designed bag and dries the club grips within the golf bag in between shots so the club is immediately ready for use when removed from the bag. It will assist club players by reducing the time taken before each shot and eliminating concentration loss which occurs when drying by hand. By circulating warm air past the grip, surface moisture is picked up before it is passed through a desiccant which dries the air.
My Transition
Immediately after graduating, I plan on taking some time out and touring Europe. After that I would like to pursue my interest in engineering and establish a professional career, especially within the field of manufacturing or processing.
